I know a guy who knows a retired Hells Angel member well enough to by a bike from him -- guess that means I got "links" both to the Angels and Harper's cabinet 'eh?

  2. stageleft, should I be afraid of you ;)

Actually there is a difference. This lady was girlfriend to our Minister of Foreign Affairs – closeness and intimacy involved. She was previously married to a biker who had entanglement with Hell's Angels. Did this lady have access to sensitive national security information? If she did then it could be problematic.

If Mr. Bernier cannot deal with his own personal affairs (or private affairs as he calls it) then how is he going to deal with Foreign Affairs?

No more need to be afraid of me than to be worried about Bernier's ex-girlfriend :-)

I'm no fan of the Harper government but this whole gig smacks more of "south of the border smear" than anything else IMO.

As I said on my site, if the Liberals are having problems coming up with real questions for the Harper government to provide partisan non-answers to all they gotta do is send me an email and I'll help 'em out.

  4. You have a point. Liberals need to be more aggressive. May be you should send a note to Stephane Dion.

There is a lot more going on than Bernier's ex-girlfriend. I do not think Berneir's girlfriend is on top of the public's agenda.

  5. He shows poor judgement to willingly bring such a person into his personal orbit while serving as a minister, but that's about it. Poor judgement doesn't automatically translate into good Question Period fodder. If the Liberals had ANY evidence that some sort of security may have been compromised, then the questions may have been valid. As it is however, they have someone who was formerly associated with bad dudes sleeping with a CabMin. Not good enough.

And faced with those chesticles, what choice did he have? I mean, really. That must be a mitigating factor. Two mitigating factors actually.

Stageleft, that's why I don't comment at your blog anymore. I heard you know guys who know guys who used to be bikers. That means my life was in imminent danger.
