Rodney MacDonald and Nova Scotia Provincial Elections

If MacDonald had any hopes of winning the current election in Nova Scotia, those hopes must be dashed by now. He did try. He even played Tom Cruise by jumping up and down on a trampoline instead of a sofa but that did not change the minds of the electorate. Then he went big time negative on Darrell Dexter of the NDP on some election contributions, but that did not seem to pay off. So Rodney, hang up your kilt and look for a second career.

I watched a debate between the three candidates last week on CTV. It looked that the only mature supervision was provided by Darrell Dexter. Both Rodney and Stephen McNeil (Liberal leader) were struggling. Rodney made many attacks on Dexter but sounded like a sulking kid. McNeil did not sound that impressive either and he has a lot of growing up to do as a politician – maybe he should have kept his beard.

My prediction is that the Nova Scotia NDP will win this election either with strong minority or even a majority. We will find out on June 9.
