Joannie Rochette Wins Bronze in Figure Skating

Her story is amazing for her courage. She won a bronze for Canada last evening and made world news because of an extraordinary personal tragedy. She is the lady whose mother died suddenly last Sunday in Vancouver. Her mother came to cheer up her daughter but suddenly died of a heart attack. Joannie Rochette continued to compete and won the bronze. She is a gold-medallist for her courage.

  1. I totally agree with you. Very few athletes would have taken part in a sporting event as huge as the Olympics shortly after the tragic death of a loved one.
